BCCI probes Invigorating Bahrain-U.S Trade

The first vice-chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Mr. Khalid Najibi has recently received at Bait Al Tijjar a delegation from the U.S Chamber of Commerce spearheaded by senior vice-president for Middle East and Turkey Affairs Mr. Kush Choksy. The meeting hailed the strong bilateral relation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, and highlighted the volume of trade which increased from 400 million U.S dollars to 3 billion U.S dollars since signing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in 2006. Maximizing the mutual benefits from the (FTA), and overcoming the challenges of the U.S imposed tariffs were on top of the agenda of the meeting. The importance of exchanging business delegations and reinforcing collaboration between the Bahrain Chamber and U.S Chamber were also discussed. Concluding the meeting, Mr. Najibi extended an invitation to Mr. Kush Choksy and the American business community to take part in the “18th Arab Businessmen and Investors Conference (ABIC)”, which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa between 11th and 13th November 2019 under the slogan “The 4th Industrial Revolution: Shaping the future-Digital disruptions for a better tomorrow”. Also present at the meeting were BCCI’s vice-treasurer Mr. Waleed Kanoo; board member Mr. Khalid Al Zayani; Chief Executive Officer Mr. Shaker Al Shater; and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdulla Al Sada.
