Plan to set up royal museum for vintage cars

HRH Prince Michael addresses the reception in the presence of Ambassador Martin and Mr Al Zayani.

A plan to set up a royal museum for vintage cars was unveiled last night in the presence of HRH Prince Michael of Kent.

Al Zayani Investments Group of Companies honorary chairman Khalid Al Zayani discussed the plan at a reception held in honour of Prince Michael at the Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Sitra, which was also attended by British Ambassador Simon Martin and other officials.

Prince Michael, the first cousin of Queen Elizabeth, also spoke at the event and praised the “rich mixture of Bahraini and British businesses”.

He also spoke about bilateral trade between both countries reaching £772 million.

“Our well-established partnership with Jaguar Land Rover Limited dates back to 1949 when the Al Zayani Family in Bahrain became one of the first distributors of Land Rover in the region,” said Euro Motors managing director Majed Al Zayani.
